If you are certain that you are employed under the Federal System (your employer is a trust or Pty Ltd company) and there is no agreement governing your workplace, from 1 Jan 2010, your pay and working conditions are now governed by the Security Services Industry Award 2010. If you are employed under the New South Wales Industrial Relations system (employer is a sole trader) then your pay and conditions are governed by the SECURITY INDUSTRY STATE AWARD which has an Current Pay Rates which updates pay and allowances to the present day. you are employed by a Sole Trader or Partnership
and are currently covered by the State Award, your pay and conditions
will be governed by the Federal system at the beginning of 2011.
State awards will continue to operate before terminating in 2011and be
replaced by the Modern Award – the Security Services Award.
