If you are certain that you are employed under the Federal System (your employer is a trust or Pty Ltd company) and there is no agreement governing your workplace, from 1 Jan 2010, your pay and working conditions are now governed by the Security Services Industry Award 2010.   Click here to go to the page 'New Award 2010' to see how this Award affects you.   A pay calculator is included on this page to work out your pay entitlement.

If you are employed under the South Australian Industrial Relations system (employer is a sole trader) then your pay and conditions are governed by the Security Officers' Award which incorporates current pay rates which updates pay and allowances to the present day.   The power to adjust pay and allowances lies with the South Australian Industrial Relations Commission.   For complaints regarding wages and conditions contact  Industrial Relations Court
