If you are certain that you are employed under the Federal System (your employer is a trust or Pty Ltd company) and there is no agreement governing your workplace, from 1 Jan 2010, your pay and working conditions are now governed by the Security Services Industry Award 2010. If you are employed under the South Australian Industrial Relations system (employer is a sole trader) then your pay and conditions are governed by the Security Officers' Award which incorporates current pay rates which updates pay and allowances to the present day. The power to adjust pay and allowances lies with the South Australian Industrial Relations Commission. If you are employed by a Sole Trader or Partnership and are currently covered by the State Award, your pay and conditions will be governed by the Federal system at the beginning of 2011.
