Victoria Employee Collective Agreements and Security Job BoardThe above hyperlinks will take you to the Victoria:
For security licensing in Victoria click here. Victoria handed over its industrial relations powers to the Commonwealth in 1996. This means most Victorian employees and employers, including sole traders, partnerships and trusts are covered by the federal system. This means ALL employers and employees in Victoria are covered by the federal workplace relations system and the Australian Fair Pay and Conditions Standard (the Standard), except some public service employees in Victoria. On the 1 January 2010, Victorian employers and employees in the Security Industry will be governed by the Modern Award, The Security Services Industry Award. Click here to go to the page New Award 2010. The old Federal Award which covers the Victorian Security Industry is the AW796143CRV - Security Employees (Victoria) Award 1998. To view this award click on: Fair Work Australia 'Find an Award' and type in the 796143. At the end of the Award there is a list of all parties who are subject to this Award (reason why it takes some time to download.) If you wish to comment on the Security Industry in Victoria go to the Security Guard Forum and have your say.
